Located to the east of the Paris basin, the Marne is the longest river in France. The banks of the Marne provide a pleasant setting for walking, cycling and boating close to Paris.

The Neuilly l'Été festival is held every year in July near the banks of the Marne and in August in the 33-hectare park. There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the day and evening for young and old alike.

The Parc de la Haute-Île is a 65-hectare jewel of greenery, a great place to discover the flora and fauna of wetlands. Here you'll find the archaeosite, observatories and a medieval playground.

The 33-hectare park is a huge green space with a host of attractions for children and their parents: cycle path, fitness trail, skate park, 4 children's play areas, Aqualudik, miniature golf, book boxes, etc.

At the heart of the 33-hectare park, the menagerie is home to cows, donkeys, geese, pigs, goats, rabbits, a wide variety of birds, peacocks and pheasants, as well as ancient species of pigeons and chickens. The Vaires-sur-Marne nautical stadium on the Vaires-Torcy leisure island will host the rowing and canoeing events for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
